Port Royal – ein auftrag geht noch… (expansion)
Apparently the title translates as "Just one more contract...". As you'd expect, the expansion adds more people and ships, giving the base game more variety. However, it also introduces 'Contracts' to the game. A number of these are drawn at the start and players can complete one any time they meet its requirements. This gains them cash and, with their second and subsequent contracts, points.
The Contracts can also be used to turn Port Royal into a co-operative game. In this version of the game, the players are working to gether to complete a set number of contracts (depending on the number playing) before the Time deck runs out. The number of cards in the Time deck depends on just which contracts have been drawn, but players can make the game more difficult by reducing this.
On top of that, this provides a way of playing the game solitaire – all in all, a very clever expansion.
For 1-5 players, aged 8+, playing time 20-50 minutes: £8.50 (£7.08 tax free outside the EU)
