Points Arising for February 1670
Players' deadline for the next turn is Friday 12th January 2018
Duncan d’Eauneurts’ term as Commissioner of Public Safety (and Minister of Justice) concludes at the end of March. Anyone who wants to apply for either post should do so with their March orders – but bear in mind that Minister of State Pierre le Sang makes the appointments.
Next month is the start of a new season. All characters start the month in Paris and all duels must be fought. Any vacant appointments not taken by player characters will be filled by NPCs. However, if a player character appoints the position, they may leave it vacant. (If you have an appointment or a rank that allows you to appoint other characters to posts, don’t forget to do so).
I had no orders (“No Move Received”) from the following and they suffered the consequences:
GS Guido Spoons (Ray Vahey) has NMR'd. Total now 1
RBCB Raoul Bernard de Chenin Blanc (Olaf Schmidt) has NMR'd. Total now 1
I removed Colin Cowper’s new character as he didn’t send orders, his previous character died without orders and his subscription has run out.
There’s a Yahoo! group for En Garde! players that provides a forum for players of different games to swap stories and ideas. Follow the link to sign up and get talking.
It is worth sending orders in even if they're a day or two late: it's possible I can still action the orders and will probably be able to use any press. It also reassures me that you're still out there.
Orders (and press) should be e-mailed to the LPBS orders e-mail address - you'll get an automated response when the message arrives in my mailbox. Please give your name and your character's name and specify actions in full (since it's without your character sheet). If you want queries answered before the deadline, e-mail the main LPBS e-mail address.
