In the Footsteps of Marie Curie
Here the players are lab assistants helping Marie Curie with the research that will win her Nobel prizes. In particular, they refine the available raw materials (cubes) to get what's needed (and score points). I'm amused by the use of a nifty cube tower to randomise what cubes are available each turn.
Players can also collect tiles (experiments and objectives), giving them opportunities to improve their lab and score points. Nice illustrations add to the atmosphere and the whole thing is a nice bit of light tactical fun.
As far as I can see, there's no connection with the earlier In the Footsteps of Darwin other than the title.
For 2-4 players, aged 10+, playing time 30 minutes: special offer £24.00 (£20.00 tax free outside the UK) (or make me an offer...).
