Points Arising for January 1678
Players' deadline for February 1678 is 20th November 2026
Several people got their orders in very late, despite having had several weeks to organise, write and send them. So let me remind you all that you can always send draft/interim orders and amend/replace them later – I’ve had people send four versions before now.
Particular thanks to Charles Burrows, Jason Fazackarley, Andrew Larder, Tym Norris, Daniel Racke and Chris Schotmann for their contributions to the trial report.
To resolve the chess tournament, I will seed players by their Military Ability and bracket them together by ability. Each game is resolved by a roll on the Battle Results Table: better BR wins; ties mean a re-roll; and the winner progresses. Until we have a final winner.
Rick Shaw’s term as Minister of State finishes at the end of February. Anyone wishing to apply for the job should do so with their February orders (to be resolved early in March).
Absent friends
Pam Udowiczenko (CS) asked to be floated.
No orders from Peter Farrell (FdB) – 1 turn missed.
No orders from Hunter Charest (GG) – 1 turn missed.
Gerald Udowiczenko (JiT) asked to be floated.
No orders from Max Pieksma (MdP) – 4 turns missed, so sent to a Frontier regiment.
Notes
It is worth sending orders in even if they're a day or two late: it's possible I can still action the orders and will probably be able to use any press. It also reassures me that you're still out there.
Orders (and press) should be emailed to the LPBS orders e-mail address and I'll acknowledge. Please give your name and your character's name and specify actions in full detail. If you want a query answered before the deadline, please use the main LPBS email address.
