Bios: Mesofauna
A companion (or alternative) to Bios: Megafauna, this game of evolution is all about the small organisms. Specifically, arthropods – the creatures that will become insects, arachnids and crustaceans. Like its big brother, the game starts with the explosion of life in the Cambrian period. Then players' creatures struggle to survive the changing environment: climate and geography. They must expand and move to other locations, to mutate and evolve separate species to survive in different places. And then they have to compete with the other players' species.
Gameplay has been radically streamlined from Bios: Megafauna, but the two games can be combined. Bios: Mesofauna can also be the middle game of the trilogy, starting where Bios: Genesis leaves off and being continued in Bios: Origins.
For 1-4 players, aged 14+, playing time 90-120 minutes: £43.00 (£35.83 tax free outside the UK)
